Need Insurance Coverage?

At the pre-conference Assembly in April 2025, a motion was passed for the area to proceed with providing insurance that will cover all groups, meetings, or events in Area 78.

The new blanket policy covers all groups in Area 78.  This includes Alberta, Northwest Territories, western Nunavut, southeast and northeast corners of BC, and Maidstone SK.

Effective date: June 1, 2025

How to obtain a new certificate of insurance:

Email insurance@area78.org

Provide the following :

– Name of insured entity
– Day of the Week
– Time of Meeting
– Name of the facility
– Physical address of the facility.

Birthday Celebrations

Sobriety Birthdays are celebrated in most meetings on the first or last meeting in the month. The celebrant typically talks about their journey in sobriety – what it was like, what happened and what it is like now. A great way to see how the program works!
