Corrections Committee Volunteer Requirements
Sponsored by the EGSC Corrections Committee
The EGSC Corrections Committee is responsible for hosting AA meetings at each Edmonton Area Correctional Institution, having a liaison at each facility, and maintaining rapport with institution staff.
The Agreement
To be eligible for AA service work in the area of Corrections, volunteers must hold a minimum period of continuous sobriety of 1 year, no exceptions.
Volunteers must be willing to make a commitment of a minimum 1 meeting per month at one of the institutes.
Volunteers must complete and submit this form, along with an Alberta Justice / Solicitor General or CPIC clearance form including a front and back copy of a current Alberta Drivers License.
Volunteers will be given information and guidelines pertaining to security from the applicable institution and will conduct themselves according to these guidelines and in a manner befitting AA;s Traditions and Concepts.
If any of these conditions are not met or they are violated, the EGSC Corrections Committee may invalidate clearance at any time.
